This policy brief designed by Enfold, UNFPA and Unicef, lays down the adverse impacts of criminalisation on the rights of adolescents and the justice system in India. It deconstructs the POCSO Act in India and makes the case for decriminalisation for adolescent sexuality while keeping in mind the best interests of the child. It also lays down the way forward through legal, educational and policy reforms.
