About Prerana ATC Portal

Prerana’s Anti-Trafficking Online Resource Center is a knowledge hub focusing on verticals like research, publications, advocacy and policy in context with the broad Anti-Human Trafficking issue. External agencies including The Department of State for the US Government encouraged Prerana to start an Anti-Trafficking Centre (ATC) as a specialized resource centre on trafficking problems and anti-trafficking.It is a one-of-a-kind-space where individuals and organizations passionate about the issue can learn, engage, constructively debate, and shape the conversations and actions around the issue towards sustainable and equitable change.

A few of the services provided by the ATC are training and sensitization, research and documentation, policy consultancy, advocacy, information dissemination, amongst others. Prerana ATC also organizes and participates in mass events for awareness generation such as Statewide Dhamaka (blast), rallies, processions, marathons, flash shows, poster campaigns, anti-violence fortnight, etc.

PRERANA Since 1986

Prerana works to end intergenerational prostitution and to protect women and children from the threats of human trafficking by defending their rights and dignity, providing a safe environment, supporting their education and health and leading major advocacy efforts. Prerana strives to ensure optimum protection of children. This is reflected in the broad spectrum of interventions that provide a continuum of care by addressing issues of child sexual abuse in parallel with anti-human trafficking.Since its establishment in 1986, Prerana’s pioneering efforts have been instrumental in supporting victims through the entire cycle from prevention to repatriation.
